Advice sought re Tool to remove pins from Miller 14 pin connector

I'm running a suitcase MIG off of a Miller Trailblazer Pro 350D, and recently have had problems with the connector on the control cable. Basically it will lose connectivity but if I wiggle the wire going into the connector it's restored.

Presumably I need to take it apart and recrimp one of the pins, but I'm having a hard time determining what the correct tool is to use to remove the pins.

I have a set of the automotive style tools for dismantling pin type connectors (and bought a tool for mil-spec connectors to try), but a simple tubular type removal tool does not disengage the locks on the pins of the miller connector.

Can anybody advise me which tool I need to buy in order to remove the pins? Here is a pic of the inside of the connector:

Most that has barb to hold in place.
I removed in pass using shim stock on side.
On some just used a thin screwdriver 🪛.

I have not seen any tool but probably one is made.

Assuming Dave is right about the style of tool needed, after miking a pin, you might be able to find some thin-walled brass tubing at a model-making shop with an ID suitable for short term use. If you have a lathe, drill a rod to the correct ID and turn the outside to fit. If you use mild steel, heat it with a propane torch, dip it in Kasenit and quench in water to case harden a bit.
I have done that for other connectors, but never needed to disassemble a Miller one.

Might need to push the pin from the back side while pushing the pin tool in so the barbs can compress.

I agree; If the barbs dig into the housing, the tool won't fit over and compress them easily, and more force might only bend the ends of the tabs or break the tool. First pushing the wire end into the housing will prevent that.

It's been quite a while, but I used to use such a tool to remove the smaller (0.050 - 0.075" ?) pins, both male and female, that are found in the connectors of modern electronics like refrigerators and stoves.

Hold on to your shorts if you price it from Miller......it shows as being 347.16.
I know when I bought mine it was salty but no where near that, of course I bought mine 15? yrs ago.

I've tried pushing the pins into the tool from the back - no joy. I'll continue to reseearch.

Try your removal tool on the circular 2 prong connector on your mig guns. The tool should allow to remove these pins.

Could be the pins on the 14 pin connector are not removal.

I ordered the plastic tool for the #16 pins and it did the job. I have a metal version enroute now, as the plastic one is not very durable.

The previous tool that I had bought was for #20 pins, which is why it didn't work.
