    Newbie

Hello, complete newbie on welding here. I would need for a project to butt-weld two very thin sheets of different metals (0.5 mm thickness at most), ideally without a filler material. Do you know if it is at all possible? I was thinking maybe ultrasonic welding could be a possibility.
    Thank you very much.

That is 0.020" or 26gauge that hard to weld.
    Most would use tig.
