Mig performace tradeoff on EMP 210 vs EM 210?

Hi,

Will the EMP 210 MIG/FCAW weld exactly the same as the EM 210?

I'm assuming that as far as MIG/FCAW process, everything from the plug to the tip of the gun are the same for both machines. I know wht EMP does lift Tig and Stick and the EM doesn't, just wondering if there is any differences between the machines for the MIG/FCAW process.

I didn't really notice any difference in performance in the two but wasn't really comparing. I think the EMP just has a lift start circuit for tig and higher OCV to run 6010 electrodes.

Thanks for chiming in. By chance, did you stick weld with the EMP? I’d love to hear any thoughts. If they have the same MIG process, the stick function would be worth the difference for me.

Did not stick weld with it but others were. Pretty well rounded stick unit. I'm anti ESAB due to issues I had with the Rebels but others seem to think they're ok.
