    Have you changed the fluid & filter in that trans, it just might fix it, get a can of TRANS X & add with the new fluid. The 4L480 E is a strong unit, I had stopped doing any transmission work by the time it came out so I don't know much about them.

    I hear they are rugged. Seems this might have been a common issue but to tell the truth I havnt looked. No, I didnt service it yet, seems it was really good on the stick. I was kind of at thge start with this project, good idea to check though, I doubt this is original. Seems there was a lot of utubers on it and will have to look. As I recall a sticky valve or solenoid issue maybe? I never notice it exept maneuvers on start up a little in the morning and its is very slight. Come to think of it hasnt happened lately, it had been sitting some before I put it back on the road.

    Maybe needs new rings and values and a oil change. I would replace the distributor bearings too.
