Was in a Canadian Tire today and saw the most intricate welded display. Must have took thousands of hours to build. Very creative and exceptional attention to detail. Hard to see the more intricate detail up close, the sheet metal has lines made from running really fast beads to deposit a kind of dots in crooked lines to resemble blood vessels. Click to remove the pics. on the left and click on the + to zoom in on the detail. VERY COOL!!!

I've never seen a 'tire' store with two levels and a Cuisenart aisle !! I don't think there is anything to compare in the US.. They would eat Walmarts lunch
It varies.... if you go to the "better" quality levels it should be better than Walmart or Harbor Freight, but there is cheap junk too. Didn't JC Whitney run a bunch of this stuff in the US?

Wow... I forgot all about JC Whitney. I don't think I've seen one of their catalogs in years. They just stopped showing up in the mail all of a sudden.

There sold out.
Not same any more.

Whitney is still around but without the tissue paper catalog,,, all online at carparts.com. They started in 1915 and say they had a rebirth. Lots of body parts, aftermarket gizmos ... but they sell carbon fiber ashtray covers too..

I've seen these before. Isn't a shop in Thailand or maybe Malaysia making them?

That would be member ironheart_ram. Awesome talent and work.

I saw some items like this in Vegas while down there for fab tech 2016 at an art gallery. Guy running the gallery tried to stop me from taking pics through the storefront window. Lost the pics since. Phone and memory card were damaged.
