How much for a rotary phase converter?

Just got this in my email today in the morning. Appears they have a lot of stock to move! Considering Miller and Lincoln pricing as of late, makes these an even greater deal & value for the dollar! This made me check what the comparable Millers cost. The new Dynasty 300dx machine only is $9,600. Granted they do have extra features, but for literally less than half of that an Invertig 301 is in the same class of machine. Heck, you could get a complete Invertig 400 w/ cart and Smart Cooler and a 30HP rotary phase converter for roughly that much!

I can see buying a new machine to eliminate a converter.
Really would be best to run a 3 phase inverter machine from a Phase Perfect or larger 3 phase generator. Shore power would also be preferred. Building your own Rotary will cut the cost to about a 1/4 or less than a factory rotary built unit . I run my 3 phase only Plasma off of mine, I paid only $400.00 for my Thermal 60i new, so worth the gamble. Works perfect, bur I would not roll the dice it on a $5,000.00 inverter with a rotary..

So far so good with mine. 4 of mine run on my 30HP rotary phase converter. Two on 400V and two on 480V. Less than 2% difference in line-to-line voltage variance. Those Phase Perfect's look awesome, but they are awesomely expensive too, lol. The 20HP is $6,500. I paid less than half that for my RPC and my 30kVa multi-tap transformer together.
Makes some sense to run a 400$ machine.
