What machine. Some DC mAchines have HF whistle. My HTP whistles and I had a ZENA that did
Also.

 

The machine is a Miller XMT 350 set at 70 amps and a 3/32 6010

Well what is driving the electrode? The machine. Most of my HTP inverter stick welders whistle, but my Inverarc 200TLP flat out sings an opera.

The tool room on one of my last jobs had a portable gas powered inverter machine, it had a tiny two stroke engine on it so it was already noisy, but the electronics noise was horrible, a high pitched squeal that started as soon as you struck an arc, annoying and it overpowered the engine noise.

 

Yep, my Zena operated off my truck engine. High pitched
Shrill.
