If I was going to buy a cheap Mag drill at this point, I think I would buy this one: https://www.amazon.com/VEVOR-Drill-S...%2C2066&sr=8-9

More power, lower and variable RPM, larger bit diameter capacity.

It for any starting in metal work it gets you up and running for low cost .
My self I have a B&D 3/4" very heavy duty witch I purchased new but most starting may not have funds for a new Dewalt (old nane Black & Decker).

You or I would buy a name brand but we have been doing for a long time.

A lot of positive reviews for it I'd have to say - from the Amazon website.....of course then I'd have to buy the annular cutter arbour and cutter set for another $140 - I better make that 7 - 8 IPA's.....

I “think” while this adapter setup will allow you to use a twist drill you may have to get innovative to put it to use.

The quill travel on your mag drill will most likely not raise high enough to use as designed.

I was looking at Precivilization's setup... looks like the bit would be below the surface on a flat job. I wonder who makes the shortest bits? When I get in a tight place I resharpen an old broken bit and use the air right angle drill. Works, but its not much fun...

Back in the day I used to watch a TV show called "Have gun-Will travel."(1957-1963) I have a business card from a cap gun set that was available when I was a kid. It says"Have gun-Will travel. Wire Paladin San Francisco" Maybe I should print my own that say "You have money? We'll help you spend it."

Mind I only use a standard twice drill bits .
Never had to cut one, just chuck and drill.
I had to turn a few drill bits my chuck is 3/4" and I need to drill 1-1/16" [27mm] holes.
I do not who needs to drill holes 1-1/16" [27mm] holes.

The holes was on a D8 CAT tractor.

It happens... my biggest bit is 1 1/4" and it gets used. I was thinking for most machines it would only affect the larger bits...

Morse taper is still used on some milling machines.

It is a drill not a milling machine.

I do not want you are trying to do with a mag drill?
