Have the stock torch and hose.
Large crack or cut not sure which .......... meaning not sure how it happened.

Anyone have a recommendation on a good replacement cheap. I am a hobby welder and do minimal welding for things I need around the house in aluminum or stainless etc. So cheaper the better.

Anyway to just replace the hose easily ? Or not worth it.

thanks !

So took it apart a bit ....

Looks like its a 35-50 DIN - whatever that means at the machine end. And I guess from spec sheet a 9mm gas supply ferrel thing that clamps onto both internal copper wire and then the outer jacket.

Easy to replace or no ?

Do they make adapters for other kits also curious ?

eg if you wanted to run the harbor freight vulcan tig torch ....... seems like good value

Thanks .......
unfortunately ? I dont think that will fit inside my dinse connector. Also not sure what these clamps are meaning how safe to splice a new regualr 17 torch in and reclamp somehow.

So wondering if I can purchase this ........

https://usaweld.com/products/super-...hDRARIsABmSEeOx646_xcswCU_XKH5qTXx4AWyv9gQGm2QLsNDbC6eFtWtcCckWA0EaAkh6EALw_wcB

Cut 1 end off ........ and the clamp with a single ear hose gas clamp.

Problem is the original torches on webiste dont spec teh size of the joint - as this hose 3/8-24 RH male connection

Will have to email alpha I guess.

Same principle ...... cut teh tail end ........ but keep the torch in this case

I don't know, maybe someone with more experience can chime in. You could try and refit a new hose there, provided that you could crimp it really well, but that would be temporary solution at best, and it might mess with the high frequency a bit if not done well. I know how tempting to save a bit here and there but it's not worth it in my opinion. You also still need to buy the new hose, which is close to half the value (for CK Worldwide at least) of what Louie suggested unless you are trying to cut out the bad part of the hose and reconnect?

Edit, nevermind, you are taking about the gas hose only.

I think its the gas and power hose all in one. BUt yeah think your right - probably not worth it. Main reason for looking this route was so I can get replacement hose easily - so like something from amazon or harbor freight would be ideal. Most welding shops closed on weekends and limited stock.

Ill call HTP next week when they re-open. Really dont want another clamped dinse style ........ if the HTP one is all screw fit probably just get that - else looks like you can make your own similar to this.

The HTP is a clamped dinse style, but it's made by ck worldwide, one of the best TIG peripherals manufacturers in the world, they don't come better than that. Nothing like the one you have burned.
BUt if the hose gets burned again - out another $150

If I go this route (adapter) with screw fitting

https://usaweld.com/products/35-din...apter-with-9mm-quick-connect-disconnect-gas-fitting-for-9-17-series-tig-torches

and add a 17series torch .......

doesnt that mean I can chuck any 9 or 17 series torch in there if it gets damaged.
eg

https://www.amazon.com/CK17-Cooled-...t=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9011484&hvtargid=pla-571267793955&psc=1

So Same amount of money ....... CK torch on both .............. bot now interchangeable/replaceable due to screw fitting. *shrug*

That's exactly the same as the HTP item except from two different vendors and $4 more :). HTP linked by Louie above is NOT one unit, it's 3 separate parts, tig torch, hose/power cable and dinse adapter, you can remove the 17 and screw in a 9 if you like

Awesome - thanks then - will go with that - just couldnt see internally to if the torch screwed in or if it was soldered/etc inside the DINSE.

Side note - is there anything different to a regular tig torch and a lift tig torch ?

https://yeswelder.com/products/tig-welding-torch-17v35

This says its lift tig ^^ yet has the gas supply line - so was curious what the difference is.

Most " lift tig" torches will have a manual gas valve.
