Thanks deafman, I was wondering what the advantages were with the chopper style. Does the chopper weld better than the gxt? I see alot of Miller bobcat 250s out there, especially on mechanic trucks, but heard they don't have the same arc as the Lincoln Rangers. I've never had the chance to try any of these smaller machines outside of the SA 200s that i have. Thought about getting one because of the generator power and lighter machine weight.
I talked to one of the guys where i get my welding supplys about the welding diffrences between the SA machines and these smaller units, and he said "If you've been welding with them old Pipeliners , your not gonna like any of these newer welders".
I'm just curreous about both.

That's good to know. I guess in this category of welders, It doesn't really matter which one you go with.
