That is way cool. I have the blue store bought ones and they are pretty slim, but that beats all.

Not to hijack but here's what I did recently to keep it a little closer to the 'point of use'. Still need to get the filler rod holders labeled same as you have though.

Here's mine!!! I like the idea on the wall also and Duanes too. I don't like chains I wanted something more solid holding the tank. I can roll it into my trailer without the tank shifting.

Flentyewelding: Looks really nice. I'm curious- why are they spaced so far apart? Was it just because you only wanted 6 tubes and decided to use all that space behind the door?

 

yeah i wanted it to take up the space between the door and the garage door

 

I'm a fan of building for the future and that usually means room to expand and you've got it nicely covered.

I'm never too old to learn. Great ideas. I'm a firm believer is using all space to a maximum. Love these ideas.

Nice idea, but why so long of tubes?

 

TIG filler metal is commonly sold in 3' lengths.

I made the holder out of a 6" x 18" sheet of 16ga. I had in the pile. A 90 degree bend and it bolts to existing holes in the cabinet sides. Using 7 holes now with room for 7 more.
