Squirrel Zapper

I have an old bug zapper I want to use to make a squirrel zapper on a bird feeder. I've tried just about everything else including shooting them. New ones come along within hours. I don't want to kill them with a zapper but I wouldn't mind sending a strong message. I know these Bug Zappers are designed to fry bugs. Are they powerful enough to injure or kill a squirrel or just buzz them good. I think I read somewhere that they may be up to 3000 volts. Don't know about amps.

Bug zappers work when a bug enters a space between two highly charged electrodes, screens, plates, etc.[/QUOTE]

That's how a zapper works. I'll be wiring so that when the squirrel climbs the metal pole and touches The grid he will complete the circuit. I just didn't
want to be mean about it.
