Hello I am a total NOOB but am very interested in fabrication mainly as a hobby. I purchased a Hobart Ironman 230 about a month ago and so far have only completed a couple of projects. My very first project was a rack on my 12 foot utility trailer so that I could carry 24' & 20' lenghts of material. I built it out of angle that I purchased as scrap. Once I was able to get the material to my shop, I built a welding table.

Anyway I am off and running and looking forward to chatting with you gents in the future.

Please keep in mind this was a down and dirty way for me to transport material to my shop so it isn't fancy but is it functional.

I like it! No need for it to be a science experiment. I was thinking of building a removable H bar in front the the frame (on the tongue) so I could angle material over the bed/cab of the truck. I like your solution better because it supports the material better.
Thanks for posting it!
