Trailer fail pics

when I was doing research for my axle flip. (I just flipped the springs from the bottom to the top) I found out that it was actually pretty common practice for guys with travel trailers with drop axles to flip the axle over to get a 4" lift axle instead of a 4" drop axle. I didn't opt for that because of the added leverage on the springs and the axle itself is not meant to be upside down. but it's apparently not that uncommon to have drop axles set like that.

Who needs a tandem axle trailer with 4 wheels, not this guy.
Who likes to find the largest pos trailer and hook it up to the smallest truck he can find, this guy.
Also views any kind of insurance as a waste of money.
were there more than two tires on that POS? man where's a cop when you need one.

Last year there was an entire bridge knocked into the river below by a big rig that hit the side on I-5, North of Seattle.

had to break the law to get this one for you guys. enjoy.

This was a tandem axle trailer the large channel ran all the way to the back of the trailer. but the tongue was kind of lacking... But hey, when the 2" square tubing gives out at least the coupler is chained to the truck.

but it's got built in camber already... lol.

I will give him some credit, at least the trailer was empty when I saw it. Doubt I'd be willing to put any weight on it. the boards were 3/4 rotten too.

Sounds like the real thiefs are the city.
They knowingly took possession of stolen property and sold it for a profit and made no attempt to correct the situation aside from padding their coffers.
without a Vin or other Identification number how was the city to know who the owner was? Should they reimburse the Original owner? I would think yes, but at the same time, any place I've known that towed a vehicle charged the tow, and impound fees to the owner upon pick up. If the trailer were in the impound long enough, those fees would easily out price the trailer value. So what do you do? To me, moral of the story is make sure your trailer has a VIN or other ID numbers on it.

couldn't turn if he wanted to, the front tires are off the ground. lol. I'd say you're the current leader until something worse comes along.

Maybe he has a big 'ol gal to sit up front with him to bring the front end down. :D
probably a big ol gal and a big guy himself. they have to shoe horn each other into the front seats and there is no room to move once they're in. Looking like a large bag of marshmallows stuffed into a small bag of marshmallows packaging.

DEAR GOD! WHAT DID I START!

I'll take options 2 and 3 off your hands. Can I take them at the same time?

I'll admit it. I forgot to check the tire pressure when I used my trailer last weekend to pick up a cord of wood... had to limp out of the log cutting site and about 5 miles to the service station to inflate them before the 100 mile trek to our Cabin. Brain fart. but that guy is an is part of either the ID 10 T club or the Pen 15 Club. if some one offers you help take it. even if you don't think you need it.

Off road use I think this would be cool, but on road not so much. I'm not a trailer designer by any means, but the entire trailer being towed by a butt weld on a bolt.. View attachment 1060261
Thats a "Max Coupler" three axis coupler they are rated for 6000 or 12,000 lbs depending on the model. I believe this is a 6k model.

Don't those HF Trailers require the deck to be able to hold the stated load capacity?

So no deck, poorly stacked load, Cheap straps, and then a ten pack of HF electrical tape holding the coupler onto the tongue.

Do you know how hard it is these days to find good galley slaves? Things just haven't been the same since the PC crowd started letting them complain about the beatings and floggings.
huh, funny, some of the crowd I hang with never complains about the beatings and the floggings... Most of them know to say thank you afterwards.
